Arnetta R (Hassler)  Voeller, the daughter of Fred and Orphie (Stengel) Hassler was born in the farm  home of her grandparents in rural Underwood, North Dakota on January 15,  1922.  She died at the age of 95 years on  Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at the Heart of America Care Center in Rugby, North  Dakota. 
                      
                      She was raised in the  Underwood home of her parents and graduated from High School there, the class  of 1940.  Arnetta completed her education  at Minot State Teachers College, earning her Elementary Teachers  Certificate.  Following college, she  taught in the school systems of Ryder, Towner and Denbigh, it was in Towner  where she met her future husband, Roy Voeller and where later united in  marriage at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Towner on June 7, 1948.  To this union, they were blessed with four  children.  A loving wife, mother,  grandmother and homemaker, she also did the bookkeeping for the couple’s  service station for 30 years.  She was an  active member of St. Cecilia’s Church, its Christian Mothers, served on the its  Parish Council, and taught in the religious program for several years. 
                      
                      Roy died December 29,  2009 after which she moved to Minot, living in with her daughter Jan for 2 ½  years and then moved to the Haaland Estates Assisted Living in Rugby.  Needing more care, she moved to the Heart of  America Care Center in March of this year. 
                      
                      Survivors include two  daughters, Janice Voeller of Minot and Nancy Voeller of Grand Forks; two sons,  Rodney of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and Mark Voeller of Rugby; grandchildren,  Jenny (Ryan) Reuter, Angie (Tyson) Hilton, and Emily, Hannah and Collin  Voeller; great grandchildren, Karsten and Kayla Reuter and Brianne, Kelsey and  Eric Hilton; one brother, David (Dixie) Hassler; a sister-in-law, Joan Hassler;  several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents,  husband Roy; daughter-in-law, Diane Voeller; brothers, Fred and wife, May,  Carol and wife, Fay and Robert and infant brother, Charles; and sister-in-law,  Mary Voeller. 
                      
                      
                      Mass of Christian burial will be held  at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8th at St. Cecilia’s Catholic Church in  Towner with burial in the church cemetery.   Father Michael Schommer, Celebrant. 
                      
                    Visitation will be held from 5:00 to  7:00 p.m. Friday with a rosary and vigil prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m.  all at the Anderson Funeral Home in Towner.   Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the time of services at  the church on Saturday.  |
