Eleanor Mae (Schroeder) Edwards, age 93 of Lisbon,  North Dakota and formerly of Rugby and Bisbee  died on Saturday, October 12 at the Parkside Lutheran Home in Lisbon. 
                      Eleanor was born on August 22, 1920 in St. John,  North Dakota to Fred and Ocie (Wicks) Schroeder  and spent her childhood and received her education in the Turtle Mountain  area.  In 1942, she married Albert  Edwards, and together, they settled on a farm near Bisbee, North Dakota  where they raised their family, farmed and retired.  In 1983, the couple moved to the community of  Rugby, North    Dakota.  Both  Eleanor and Albert were well known and active in the Bisbee community, as well  as Rugby, in their later years.  Eleanor loved gardening, quilting, traveling  and spending as much time with her family as possible. 
                      She is survived by daughters, Connie (Curtis) Guderjahn of Vergas,  Minnesota and Linda (Tom) Sandhei of Vadnais Heights, Minnesota; and  daughter-in-law, Yvonne Edwards of Fargo; ten grandchildren; thirteen  great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Lucille Harrow  of LaMirada, California; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and  friends.  She was preceded in death by  her husband; one son, Kermit; four sisters; one brother; and her parents. 
                      Memorials in her memory may be directed to the Parkinson’s Disease  Foundation for Research. 
                      Funeral services will be  held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October  15th at the First Lutheran Church  in Rugby.   Burial in the Bisbee   Lutheran Cemetery,  Bisbee at 3:00 p.m.  Pastors Mike Pretzer  and Sharon Baker, officiating.  
                    Visitation: will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday with a time of  prayer and sharing of memories beginning at 7 p.m. in the Anderson Funeral Home,  Rugby.  Reviewal  will be held for one hour prior to the time of services in the church on  Tuesday.   |
