Myron Henry Sebastian, son of John and Caroline (Gietzen) Sebastian was born December 8, 1929 at Haymarsh, North Dakota and died at the age of  83 years on July 22, 2013 at the Heart of America Medical Center in Rugby.

Myron was raised on a farm outside of Hebron and attended Haymarsh School until the 8th grade.  He worked and lived on the family farm until he was 23. On June 2, 1954 he married Eunice (Heick) and they ranched in the Hebron area where he also owned and operated Hebron Hide and Fur and drove school bus.  In 1971, they moved the family of 8 to the Empire Ranch of Towner by the Mouse River.  He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church and sang in the choir for many years.   From 1977 to 2001, they operated Towner Processing while still milking cows and ranching.  Myron was known for his Country Sausage, which was served at many community breakfasts . . . and some grandchildren would not even touch sausage unless it was Grandpa Myron’s.  In 1995, they added irrigation systems and Myron loved to watch the crops grow.

Myron cherished his wife and family. He loved children and would have to stop anywhere he saw a baby and talk to them.  He enjoyed visiting with friends, road trips, playing cards, happy hour, and listening to music.  Myron was a big sports fan.  There were not too many basketball / football games missed and he was always in the appropriate attire when supporting the home team or his grand children’s team and events.  Music made him happy.  He would often whistle a tune, clap his hands and give a big “Who-hoo-hoo”.

He was a member of the 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, and a former member of the Hebron School Board, the Hebron Park Board, where he was instrumental in the planning and building of the recreational complex and pool, the Hebron Volunteer Fire Department, a 4-H Leader, Lions and Eagles Clubs.
